About Home Games - Celtic Strength World Championships
June 13th, 2026 at Fino Field in Milford, MA will be the 6th annual return of our HOME GAMES. Come watch the world's greatest celebration of Celtic strength, sports, culture, and community. Everyone welcome. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs, friends, and family. We got you covered with gourmet food vendors and a traveling Irish pub. The Milford Town Pool is scheduled to be open for the event! So don't forget to pack your swim trunks as well!
Home Games is a sport festival that follows the model of the Scottish Highland Games, showcasing and promoting traditional Celtic strength sports. 2026 will be an extremely momentous year for us because we will be hosting 6 simultaneously competitions, and 2 Championships.
These include:
- 9am Opening Ceremony: Bagpipes. Game Chieftain: Iain MacGillivray, Clan Commander of Clan MacGillivray. VIP Guests and Speakers.
- Scottish Highland Games Heavy Events, with elite Pros flying in from Scotland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Netherlands (Frisian), South Africa, Canada, and Australia.
- Team Highlander Competition: barbell clubs and gyms form teams of 5 or more to compete for guts, glory, and the Lundstrom Traveling Highlander Trophy.
- North American Scottish Backhold Wrestling Championships, first ever. Officials from the Scottish Wrestling Bond in Scotland will be flying in to sanction and officiate this world first.
- Northeast Irish Collar and Elbow Championships, returning to New England after dying out for 100 years. Once so popular it was practiced by George Washington. The Collar and Elbow Federation will be flying in from Ireland to sanction and officiate this momentous occasion.
- Bataireacht, Irish Stickfighting: joining us is Nathan Featherstone of The Rambling Kern in Dublin. Nathan will be flying in to present a demo and share his knowledge of this iconic Irish martial art.
- CrossFit Highlander Challenge, open to the public. Complete the challenge in under 2 min to have your name put in the winner's raffle.
- The Stone Man Challenge. Started by world famous Scottish stonelifter Martin Jancsics. Martin will join us from Scotland. Complete his 2026 challenge with the best score for a chance to win his special trophy.
- Cloch Bán, the White Stone of the Emerald Isle. In 2025 we were part of a team with David "Indiana Stones" Keohan that freighted his first training stone in Ireland before he rediscovered the almost lost culture of Irish Stonelifting. Featured in a special documentary on RTÉ, David will have released his new book which will be available at the festival.
- Celtic Village: Scottish and Irish nonprofit organizations, Clan associations, and Celtic vendors will be set up and ready for you to visit on the day.
- Kids Athletics: Be sure to bring your little ones for kids events, activities, and the 12:30pm Tug-of-War against the Pros.
Home Games 2026 will be a once in a generation Celtic Convergence. Scotland's long awaited return to the World Cup will take place on 25min away, later the very same day as our Games! Still not convinced? Try checking out our Instagram Account to get a taste for what we are about.
